Last time I found a console one that was used was over $50 and that was the lowest price for console. However since the demand for these games has gone up due to the reemergence of Star Wars multiplayer gaming the games are quite expensive used. So a PS2 game can be played on PS2, PS3, and PS4.
This means if you own the original disk you can run it on any console past what it was made for. On consoles they have backwards compatibility.
Steam has its own classic battlefront 2 servers that are very active and allow servers to be modded but in order to play those servers you need to have those same mods. You also have to mess with the setting and configure all the controls personally to the controller. I do not recommend this way of playing because the controls sensitivity is really wack but if you download an external program I’m sure it would work better. I can hook up an Xbox controller to my computer so that I can play the steam version with a controller.
